“I brought my dog here for the first time this last week. My dog is very much a terrier and hates being at the boarders, but she seems to have done very well here. The staff were very friendly and kept me updated when my dog gave the male groomer a hard time. They sent Sally home with a little report card too, which was a nice touch. I was quite satisfied with the staff and set up at Montrose Pet Hotel and will likely come back when I need to board Sally again. It was also decently priced for the area and has veterinary services on site, as well, in case of any problems. They also had bathing and grooming available..”

“Took my dog for his first appointment at the vet clinic next door. After we were done, I asked if the hotel offered nail grinding and whether he could be seen immediately. They graciously accepted him right away. Before handing him over, I warned that my puppy attempted to nip the last person who did nail grinding at different groomers and offered my assistance. The technician confidently stated he would go ahead and try on his own first. Lo and behold, they did great! The technician later explained his approach and clearly demonstrated his patience and experience in his profession. I was so pleased to have found a one stop shop so close to my home and one that can handle my diva dog! Thank goodness!”

“We have boarded our dog at Montrose Pet Hotel a few times now. My dog can be finicky and slow to warm up to new people and environments but he runs tail wagging towards the door the second we drop him off which is the only proof I need. The staff all goes above and beyond. They are so professional, friendly and I can tell they genuinely care about the animals that stay with them. My dog always comes back smelling clean and with a fun little report card summarizing his stay which is a nice touch. I am confident when I leave my dog at MPH he is in good hands.”

“LOVE Montrose Pet Hotel! We boarded our greyhounds (read: high maintenance!) here in a double cabin. The care takers are so good with each animal - ours are big babies and they were handled with love and care into the kennel area. We received a printout detailing how their stay went along with a picture of each dog during play time. Play time is separate for each dog unless they are "siblings." Knowing that our favorite vet is now overseeing the Pet Hotel gives us peace of mind knowing our fur babies are getting the best care. Thank you Dr T!”

“Absolutely the best place to take care of my dog and the only place I trust completely. I have used their help on four different occasions over the last two years, my dog is always happy. Everyone I have met there is kind, friendly and patient, the place is always very clean. Communication has also been great: they never failed to send an email with a picture and reassure me that my dog was doing well. “When I was looking for somewhere to board my pit-bull mix I found Montrose Pet Hotel and was thrilled they did not have added charges for luxuries such as: extra walks or play times. Every dog gets a cot and throw rug. I brought his blanket, pillow and favorite chew toy to familiarize his space. My dog is very shy and nervous especially with new people. The staff keeps a report card on all the pets, they emailed me twice while we were away to keep me updated on his progress and sent some pictures as well. It was reassuring to see him playing with the employees after a short time. I also like that they are in the same building and attached with Montrose Animal Health Center. If needed there are veterinarians on hand. I will definitely use them again! And I can't thank the staff enough for being patient and tender with a breed that most places will only board with restrictions, if at all.”
