Our Story

At Montrose Pet Hotel (MPH), we strive to provide the highest quality, most personalized boarding experience for your cat or dog in the Northern Virginia area. We do our best to facilitate a relaxing, less stressful stay for your four-legged friend whether you are away for a day, a week or any other length of time. We are here to provide peace of mind in the fact that your pet is getting the attention and love they're used to at home!

Our location, which is shared with Montrose Animal Health Center, was opened when Dr. Teixeira and Dr. Rubin, both veterinarians at the Health Center, wanted to create a safe, healthy, less stressful boarding experience. With their vision, our facility was completely renovated. We have many features to ensure cleanliness and overall pet comfort; from an extensive water drainage system in every dog cabin, exhaust fans to circulate and clean air to special flooring to help with the prevention of spreading disease.

We strongly believe in offering the most personalized boarding experience for your pet. We strive to provide comfort as close to the home environment, in a boarding facility, as possible. All pets will get one-on-one attention with our staff members multiple times a day. By giving your pet the attention they are used to at home, we hope to keep their stress levels to a minimum and create as calming of an environment as we can. We make sure all pets are fed, always have access to fresh water, and in order to ensure each pet is happy and healthy, all eliminations are recorded daily. We are more than happy to accommodate any special care instructions your pet is used to.

We are here to take care of your pets. The health and safety of your animals is our top priority, and we do everything we can to try and allow your pet to have a relaxing, stress-free boarding stay.
